Is it possible to swap a 1990 acura integra engine on a 1999 honda civic ex?

I have a 1990 acura integra dual cam engine, is it possible for me to swap it in my honda civic 1999 ex? and whats the price range? would it be worth it?|||you dont really want to swap a 1990 b18a into a 1999 civic....first things your gonna have to convert the obd 0 motor into a obd2b....second thing is that the b18a is slow....and only gives the same amount of horse power as your stock single came d16y8....third thing is that if your gonna do a b18 swap...make it a b18c (gsr/type r) or if not...atleast a b18b where you have 10 more horses then the b18a.....and wouldnt have to convert the harness or the motor mounts and brackets....

the price range of this type of swap varies from person to person due to hook ups and knowledge of what their doing...also on what parts that theyre putting on....but just to say that this swap is anywhere from 700 to 3000 dollars to do....|||well, they are way different years, and Honda did change the engine from the 1990 Integra engine up to the 1995, so I think they will be different. I'd say just go for an Si engine from your year, or an engine at least 1995 or above. The B16 or B18 engines Should fit|||as long that bolt holes match up and it fits the compartment, it should be a fairly easy and cheap job, if you are mechanically inclined then all you need is an engine hoist (can rent one) and a couple friends (and maybe some beer)|||yes. just make sure the motor mounts line up. and that the wiring harness matches.

What are the names of all the Acura models (preferably by year)?

I'm making a PowerPoint project for fun, and I need the names of all the Acura models (preferably in order by year). If they aren't in order by year, that's fine.|||i found this website for you! http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Acura+models+and+the+year|||1986

My 1991 Acura Integra gs is over heating and I have replaced the thermostat and its still over heating?

My 1991 Acura Integra gs is over heating and I have replaced the thermostat and its still over heating what else could it be?|||I assume you mean the coolant is also not mysteriously disappearing, which rules out head gasket failure and a hidden leak (you'd be surprised how common those are.)

The next thing to consider is whether the engine heats up when idling but cools down when going or whether it just gets hot and stays hot. If it cools down when going the radiator fan is not working. The most likely reason is a bad fan (with the engine off and cool, try turning the blades of both fans by hand - lumpy is okay, lots of friction is not) but fan relay trouble is pretty common, too.

If it heats up and stays hot the radiator is the main suspect. When it is hot, carefully feel the upper and lower radiator hoses. If they feel the same, the radiator is not working decently and will have to be replaced. If the lower hose is a lot cooler the radiator is okay but the coolant is not flowing. There have been a few water pump failures in which all the vanes came off the impeller, and in that case the heater will not be putting out much hot air either (be sure to do the radiator test first). Otherwise the thermostat is not opening... I hope it was a genuine Honda/Acura thermostat because aftermarket thermostats are terrible.

In al cases, be sure to use the proper antifreeze - some will cause early water pump failure, as I learned the hard way - and always dilute with purified water. Tap water plugs up radiators very quickly. There is also a bleed nipple on the thermostat housing; open it half a turn until coolant comes out steadily to "burp" the system.|||As a mechanic we are taught to inspect the least expensive part and work yourself up.

Checking the hoses was a good idea but dont just check for leaks, squeeze the hoses and make sure they are not cracking.

if you changed the thermostat then the flow of water is flowing through your engine fine.

Next I would check the radiator. Acura usually has plastic radiators instead of metal so if it has over heated before, then its possible that the radiator is cracked.

Next check the primary (larger than the secondary) and secondary fans. From a cold start warm up your vehicle and check to see if the secondary fan turns on. If not it might be the fan.

Another small thing you can check is the fuse box and make sure the fuses are not blown|||that would be your fan i would replace the fan check the antifreeze but get a new fan and when you replace the fan install a fan switch and when the car starts to get hot turn the switch on and let it run then turn the switch off.|||your rad fan could be broken, you could have sprung a leak some where, you can have bubbles in your rad fluid, or you water pump could be dead|||The water pump or dirty, or a bad mix of, coolant.|||U should have checked your radiator for leaks first,|||could be head gasket is gone does it trow white smoke from the exhaust????

95 Acura Integra Auto tranny transfered to a 98 Acura Integra 5 speed car body. Can it be done?

I want to swap engine, tranny, and interior parts from a 95 Acura auto to another Acura 5 speed body.|||well the interior will be no prob they r basically the same and the engine will be ok too the only issue would be the tranny because ur going from an auto to a manual. my recomendation is you take the money and swap a new motor into the 98 body rather than ur old motor its like 1200 for a regular b18 swap or you could buy a b18c for like 2 to 3 grand

Should I buy a used Cadillac CTS car or lease a new Acura TL?

I am looking at either buying a used Cadillac CTS with no more than 39k miles on it. The prices are in my range about 16-25k depending on what kind of deal the dealer made originally. I figure a cadi will be reliable and I can get a warranty extended. I would probably put down 4k. But I also am looking at possible leasing one of the new Acura TL, or the Infiniti g37. Does anyone have any good advice? |||Buying vs leasing depends on the mileage you put on, the tax breaks you need, and how long you generally keep a car. Consumer Reports offers a reprint of an article about buying vs. leasing--google them and get it.

There's a joker in the deck, too--these days car dealers are drooling to get lease customers--they can figure the payment on deflated depreciation, claim a jiggered resale value, and start with a full retail price--all bad for you. On the other hand, they're dying to sell cars--ANY cars, and this is the time to get the best deals. By the way, the CTS IS a nice car, but how many years old is it to have 39K miles on it? How many per year? Do you get all the maintenance records, and a report from carfax.com as part of your decision-making process? I wouldn't deal with someone who doesn't offer those last two things. Oh yeah, and Consumers Union (Reports) also offers help in buying a used car, and they charge next to nothing.|||Buying a used Cadillac is just asking for problems.

I know it is tempting since you can get a 3 year old one at about half the price of what you would pay new, but in this case you get what you pay for.

My Dad had a 1994, 1998 and 2001 Cadillac STS models he bought used.

The 1994 was a great vehicle, and the other 2 were total garbage. |||If you can hold off . . . do so . . . you may be able to buy a new caddy next year for what you would pay for a used this year . . . inventories are starting to build up . . . so if you can wait until Spring you'll get a much better deal no matter which car you choose

We are also holding off buying a caddy as well . . . my uncle owns a dealership and he told us to wait . . . prices are dropping quick.|||The new Acura TL is by far the ugliest vehicle on the showroom floors today. As much as I like Honda/Acura I can't get past this ugly mug.

Take a really good look at it and the Cadillac should be the obvious choice. But I would lease a new CTS. I wouldn't buy an old Cadillac with 40K miles. |||Lease ONLY if you like the idea of getting a different new car every 3 to 4 years. That way you are only paying for the vehicle during the time you use it.

If you are more apt to keep a car till it is no longer capable of driving any more (or for a lot longer then 4 years) then purchase.

|||The G37 and Acura leases are so-so this month. They will lease better next year, around Feb/March. Manufacturer banks are still charging 6.9%+ interest on the 09 G37 and TL right now. You might want to inquire about low interest financing on the CTS. GM may be willing to give you more discounts since they are having a Red Tag sale.|||NEVER lease.. Get the Cadillac.. The lease will have mileage restrictions and you will be responsible for any dings and scratches.

NEVER lease..

Also, when you pay off the Caddy you will own it. When you pay off the lease, you have nothing.|||My grandma got one of those Cadillacs, they are very nice. I don't like it though, too big and bulky.

If you lease the Acura, you'll have to get a new car in the future. With the Cadillac, you can keep it as long as you want.|||DO NOT lease a car. You end up paying more in the long run, specially if you go over on the miles. and almost everyone does. You are better off buying a 2-3 year old car than leasing a new one.

|||Neither. Leasing is a bad idea (financially), and the Cadillac is absolute rubbish. Buy a used car, but choose something better in your price range.|||lease the Acura|||Cadillac is US made and always better|||Buy used. |||go with the acura or g37, they will last you much longer and are more reliable. plus they have a better resale value|||Get a Lexus 300 LE and you wil never regret it Better than Cad or Acura
