Where and How do you replace Temp Switch & Coolant Temp Sensor on 1992 Acura Legend?
I was just wondering if anyone could specifically tell me where to find the Temperature Switch and Coolant Temp Sensor on a 1992 Acura Legend? Also, could you please provide step by step instructions on replacing one or both of the items? How difficult is it?|||Pretty easy- they are both near/on the upper radiator hose/thermostat housing. First, go buy the new ones, so you'll know what you're looking for. Next, drain your coolant-Into a bucket/other container(this is toxic stuff!-DISPOSE OF PROPERLY, or re-use). Then, simply use a wrench or socket to unscrew the old ones(after unplugging the wires, of course !), put a little(2 or 3 wraps) teflon tape around the threads of the new ones, *Opposite direction* of screwing them in!, and screw them in, hook them up, fill your radiator, start your car, let it warm up, check for leaks, and you're ready to go!
