I have a 1990 acura integra dual cam engine, is it possible for me to swap it in my honda civic 1999 ex? and whats the price range? would it be worth it?|||you dont really want to swap a 1990 b18a into a 1999 civic....first things your gonna have to convert the obd 0 motor into a obd2b....second thing is that the b18a is slow....and only gives the same amount of horse power as your stock single came d16y8....third thing is that if your gonna do a b18 swap...make it a b18c (gsr/type r) or if not...atleast a b18b where you have 10 more horses then the b18a.....and wouldnt have to convert the harness or the motor mounts and brackets....
the price range of this type of swap varies from person to person due to hook ups and knowledge of what their doing...also on what parts that theyre putting on....but just to say that this swap is anywhere from 700 to 3000 dollars to do....|||well, they are way different years, and Honda did change the engine from the 1990 Integra engine up to the 1995, so I think they will be different. I'd say just go for an Si engine from your year, or an engine at least 1995 or above. The B16 or B18 engines Should fit|||as long that bolt holes match up and it fits the compartment, it should be a fairly easy and cheap job, if you are mechanically inclined then all you need is an engine hoist (can rent one) and a couple friends (and maybe some beer)|||yes. just make sure the motor mounts line up. and that the wiring harness matches.

The next thing to consider is whether the engine heats up when idling but cools down when going or whether it just gets hot and stays hot. If it cools down when going the radiator fan is not working. The most likely reason is a bad fan (with the engine off and cool, try turning the blades of both fans by hand - lumpy is okay, lots of friction is not) but fan relay trouble is pretty common, too.
If it heats up and stays hot the radiator is the main suspect. When it is hot, carefully feel the upper and lower radiator hoses. If they feel the same, the radiator is not working decently and will have to be replaced. If the lower hose is a lot cooler the radiator is okay but the coolant is not flowing. There have been a few water pump failures in which all the vanes came off the impeller, and in that case the heater will not be putting out much hot air either (be sure to do the radiator test first). Otherwise the thermostat is not opening... I hope it was a genuine Honda/Acura thermostat because aftermarket thermostats are terrible.
In al cases, be sure to use the proper antifreeze - some will cause early water pump failure, as I learned the hard way - and always dilute with purified water. Tap water plugs up radiators very quickly. There is also a bleed nipple on the thermostat housing; open it half a turn until coolant comes out steadily to "burp" the system.|||As a mechanic we are taught to inspect the least expensive part and work yourself up.

95 Acura Integra Auto tranny transfered to a 98 Acura Integra 5 speed car body. Can it be done?
I want to swap engine, tranny, and interior parts from a 95 Acura auto to another Acura 5 speed body.|||well the interior will be no prob they r basically the same and the engine will be ok too the only issue would be the tranny because ur going from an auto to a manual. my recomendation is you take the money and swap a new motor into the 98 body rather than ur old motor its like 1200 for a regular b18 swap or you could buy a b18c for like 2 to 3 grand

Should I buy a used Cadillac CTS car or lease a new Acura TL?
I am looking at either buying a used Cadillac CTS with no more than 39k miles on it. The prices are in my range about 16-25k depending on what kind of deal the dealer made originally. I figure a cadi will be reliable and I can get a warranty extended. I would probably put down 4k. But I also am looking at possible leasing one of the new Acura TL, or the Infiniti g37. My acura integra wont start please help?
My acura wont start, I have a brand new starter and battery. And a tune up new spark plugs and everything. It goes to start but never does. I checked the fuses and thats not the problem either. Someone told me that its the ignition coil but Im not sure. Please help.|||When you first tried to start it, did it start and then die right away? I have a 1993 Integra and a lot of the time when it's warm outside, it will turn on and then die right away. This is a huge issue with early '90s Hondas (my bro has had 5 Hondas that were model years 90-95 and all but one did it). When that happens, I wait a few minutes (DO NOT keep trying right away or you'll burn out the starter), and the next few times I try, it doesn't start at all, and then it works on about the 7th try. The problem is with the main fuel relay and it's a $30 part. The solder joint in it gets warm and cools off every time you use the car and over the years the solder joint gets weak. I don't know if this is your problem, but if you think it might be (if it turns on and then dies right away), just keep trying to start it every few minutes, and if it continues to not work, you can fix the main fuel relay. Hope this helps|||Make sure the battery cords are tight on their posts, not loose.

Had to get new distributor, cap, wires, rotor and spark plugs. $800 tune up, so to speak...Does your car eat oil but none is on the ground? Might be going down the side of the motor, burning off and some going into the distributor.

Then it would not start at a convenience store. Fist someone said maybe the throttle position sensor and/or mass air flow sensor, but someone else said yeah, but it doesn't even turn over, so it couldn't be that. That's when they came up with the distributor.

Other than that the car was great. Minimal maintenance expense, fun to drive and great on gas.

They turn on when you turn on the running lights or the headlights. There is no separate switch. Yours just needs new bulbs. so the eclipse is $8,995 and has a 3.0 v6. the acura rsx is $9,995 and has a 2.0 v4. im looking for speed, looks and dependabililty. which one should i get?|||well I would go with the RSX. Its an acura and you just can loose with a car made by honda. There are a lot of aftermarket parts and mods for them as well. The only down side is the RSX is way over priced for what you get. How can I make my Acura TL 2002 fog lights into HID lights to match my blue-ish looking HID headlights?
Ok, I know very little about cars and what I'm trying to find out is where I can find some kits to look at that will change my Acura TL 2002 fog lights into HID's that match the headlights. Can anyone help me out?|||you can get a conversion kit for your fog lights, if the fog lights are part of the headlight assembly the light bulbs are 9006 bulb, if the fog lights are separate for the head light assembly and on the bottom of the bumper it should be an H8 bulb . i recommend getting a a digital slim ballast kit for your car its easier to install.|||not sure of how, but there's bound to be a way.

But - you have to pay the labor. So you get another cheap crappy low performance set of pads, and pay a guy to put them on again.
You'd need to put at least 150,000 more miles on the car for that to work out and break even on the extra cost of the pads.
The TL isn't a cheap piece of crap, however, so why would you put cheap crap pads on it?
If you know your stuff, find a mechanic that will talk to you and assure you he'll use quality parts. A shop that displays a CarQuest logo is a good place to start; CQ carries good brake parts. If you don't know cars, go to the dealer. You'll pay more, but you'll get the job done right with the right parts. Or find an Accura or car enthusiast forum and see if anyone has a local recommendation for a shop.
Or - find a shop that will take outside parts, do a little research on good brake parts (Hint - Baer, Brebmo, PBR, Hawk, EBC [EBC Green only for a street car] and others), get good parts and bring them in. Make sure they drive the car after the brakes are installed. There's a procedure to 'bed in' pads, and you want them to find any squeaks and squeals and fix them.
Or, do it yourself. It's easy. Post another question if you don't know how to do brakes (I can do a brake job on my car in 25 minutes - including jacking it up, supporting it on stands, taking the wheels off, doing the work, tightening it all back up and getting it back down on the ground. Acura is a premium car manufacturer, and like most of the others they require high octane fuel because of their engines, However, smaller engines like on 2 doors, might require regular. You could google it and find out what type of gas it uses, and that would answer your question. An Acura Integra probably will have to use Premium, and I would advise you to use the recommended fuel. If you use the cheaper fuel, it is hard on the engine and reduces performance and other things. Even though its slightly more costly, it's more costly to fix something (like the engine) if it breaks. Use whatever fuel is recommended by Acura. Trust me-If you want your car to last-don't cheap out! I hope this helps.|||Unleaded means the gas doesn't have lead. Premium gas is just as unleaded as regular. Yes, you can run on regular gas, but you'll lose horsepower. How well does the acura tl's navigation system voice command work?
I am very interested in the effectiveness of the voice commands in the acura tl|||It's an awesome feature. However, you have to spend some time learning the correct commands and the proper screens for the commands if you want to use it effectively. The only negative I've found with it is that the fan can't be up too high, or else your commands won't be understood. I love being able to change climate and stereo with voice commands in addition to navigation commands.
In my opinion, when I bought my 2005 TL w/nav, it was by far the best nav system available.

It won't bolt up and is designed to work with the SH-AWD. You will need a lot of time and money (and fabricating experience) to do the task. It is a rare engine (only used on the RDX)and is very costly before the work. I believe that it will fit better than many claim due to the fact that the RDX is basically a rebadged CR-V with different styling. This says a lot since the CR-V is basically a Civic anyway. Still the drivetrain is different between the CR-V and RDX so there will be a lot to this swap, but it can be done. mix some baking soda with water, use an old tooth brush and that mix to clean it. and then reisntall cables tightly.|||i think, perhaps you may need a new battery.if you turn a car off and can't restart it and need a jump..to get it moving? ohh, i would just check out the battery..|||check the battery terminals for corrode. you might be losing contact at the terminals.

I was wondering where can I get the code at so I can use the radio.|||The only place is an Acura dealer. You're going to need your registration to prove that you are the owner. There may or may not be a fee, depending on the dealer.|||Well one place is the dealership but you have to have your ownership and there is a fee too , but a few places you might find the code is in the glove box on a sticker or believe it or not on the stereo itself lol.

I have a 1995 Acura Integra and the clutch pedal is loose. I'm having a hard time putting it into gear because the clutch pedal isn't grabing all the way. How do i adjust the pedal from under the dash board?|||There is an adjustment at the clutch pedal. It is pretty obvious if you look at it.
However, I don't think it came out of adjustment. There is plenty of throw on the pedal even if it isn't adjusted right. There are two possibilities - bad hydraulic cylinders or a dragging clutch. The cylinders are easy to check because they always leak when they fail. However, I don't think it came out of adjustment. There is plenty of throw on the pedal even if it isn't adjusted right. There are two possibilities - bad hydraulic cylinders or a dragging clutch. The cylinders are easy to check because they always leak when they fail. What cheap, effective upgrades are good for a stock Acura Integra GSR?
I have a stock 1996 Acura Integra GSR that I am looking to add a little power too. I just want to know of some good, cheap upgrades besides a Cold Air Intake.|||A 96 GSR is one of the best platforms to build off of. You have a great motor (much better than a GS motor by the way and will generate more hp than a lot of V6's and get better gas mileage too) You have to know your goals to buy things. It also depends on why you want power. If you want it to haul your fat buddies up a hill then by all means buy a turbo or a bigger car. If you want it for drag racing or getting into autocross then exhaust, hondata intake manifold gasket, high flow cat (car sound makes a good one) are the cheapest way to start. With all of these you do not have to have your car tuned. If you get cams or a turbo you'll have to have your car tuned. Tires also make your car go faster buy some sticky rubber for your 15's and you'll notice the difference. A strut tower bar will stiffen up the suspension and you can get them on eBay for like $25 shipped with the sticky tires your car will take the twisties like a dream.
If you want power to speed from stop sign to stop sign at the mall trying to pick up chicks, please sell your GSR and buy something else. Real Honda enthusiasts have already suffered enough from giant spoilers and stupid graphics.
Oh and personally I wouldn't go with a supercharger, integras don't like them nearly as much as turbos. Go to teamintegra.net to find out why.|||do you want cheap or reliable and good? Stay away from knock off Ebay crap. But for a few extra hp- just do the basic intake, headers, and exhaust. Another option is Nitrous... I've got the Zex kit, and it was a nice add on. You've got a good strong motor (if there aren't tons of miles on it) but the B18 C 1 is a good motor. It can take the Nitrous, probably not a high shot, without having to upgrade your internals.
Another reliable add on is a Supercharger. Turbos are wonderful, don't get me wrong - but I've just seen a lot more problems like oil leaks etc as opposed to the Supercharger.|||no offense, but you should've went with the GS motor. But anyways, like most imports, go for the cams after an intake-exh upgrade. the cams are the heart of the motor. Turbo kits are expensive not noly for the kit, but the intall and mods to motor needed don't keep it cheap at all. What should I buy for my boyfriend's Acura NSX for Christmas?
I asked him what he wanted for Christmas %26amp; he said stuff for his car, which is an Acura NSX. I have no idea what to get him. It's already lowered, has a body kit %26amp; ten pounds of boost etc. Any ideas, whether it's cosmetic like floor mats, stickers, license plates or actual parts for the engine, ANY IDEAS are appreciated!|||If he doesn't have dual Xenon headlights on his car already then maybe you should buy them, they tend to look really nice on sport cars, but be aware that these bulbs are pretty expensive but they look really nice. In Lamest terms they are the white/blue colored headlights which imitate and produce the affect of broad daylight at night helping to better illuminate the road ahead. If he doesnt have them on his car then he probably has the normal luminescent yellow bulbs found on any common vehicle. The Xenon's are found on many current luxury sedans like BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus etc etc. Also try matching the license plate lights if you get the xenon headlights. The two Xenon bulbs at the back of the plate should cost you $10-$15 but the Bi-xenon headlight can range from $75 to $300. It all depends on the number of Kelvin (kelvin- the amount/number of brightness in the bulb) that you purchase, for ex- 6,000K, 8,000K (k= Kelvin). These are some Pics so you have an idea.

Is there some kind of trick to getting the valves adjusted perfect on a '96 Acura Integra?
I own a '96 Acura Integra LS Auto. I've adjusted the valves around 10 times now and I still can't get it right. I adjust them cold, to spec using feeler gauges as called for by the Acuras repair manual, but they still click. Whats the deal, is there some kind of trick to doing it?|||Are they out of adjustment when you check them? You could very well have other parts that are worn causing your problems...

Acura should be happy to install an updated version into your 2004.
Alpine also makes a radio/navi system which will replace the Bose. An Alpine dealer can install it.
Both require a DVD player installed in the trunk.|||There are kit's to install a non-factory nav in your Acura TL. If you want to avoid the hassle, just get a Garmin or TomTom, easy to install, both very good nav systems|||Its best just to buy the car with it. Its only $2,000 more for the car if you buy one with it, instead of spending thousands more with an installation.|||here is the thing, you cannot install a factory nav system in the TL because it comes with all different functrions. You would have to wire it to the steering column for voice activation and rewire all other sorts of things like the radio ect because it controls all these items. There are excellent nav systems out there but not like the one in the acura. This is by far one of the easiest to use system from any car manufacturer and is used in many ways not just to find a route. And for the person who said the stereo is bose you are wrong. (example) Chevy's3.5V6 LX9 model hits about 217 horse power. this engine is used in the new malibu as a stock bottom line V6 engine.|||Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Dodge Intrepid, ha ha ha ha. Why bother? Who wants to watch a Dodge Intrepid try to race. I heard that people race Yugos and Festivas but I don't get that either. Any way, this is the funniest post that I have ever seen. Does anyone know how to replace the speakers in a 1995 Acura Integra RS model?
I need to replace the speakers in my Acura Integra. The back speakers have been blown since I got the car a year ago. I need to replace them now but Im not sure how to do it or where to get the speakers at. The speakers are curved and I need to replace them with aftermarket specially made Acura speakers. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.|||Scoche makes adaptors to allow different speakers to be put in, in case you were looking for a good sound.|||ok they are most likely to be 61/2's and you need to pull out the whole rear panel to get to the screws to be able to pull out the speaker once you do that if the speakers are still the stock ones then your going to have to cut the harness off so that you can install the wire that comes with the speakers to be able to connect the wires to the aftermarket speakers then just put everything back

Where can I hide a sub in my Acura Integra?
I would like to get a subwoofer for my Acura Integra, but I don't want to compromise any space in the trunk. I was thinking maybe underneath the rear seat? And not a big sub either; a 8" or 10" would be more than enough. Anyone know if this is possible, or any other ideas at all? Could I put it in the hatch door?|||Depending on your budget you can buy a powered sub from Crutchfield sometimes they arent as "boomy" as a standaed set up but a lot of the time you can find ones that are very compact.|||Rueben B you need to get a clue, JL is a rip off. What engines can I transplant into a 1994 Acura Integra with minimum modification? Will an Accord or civic?
I have an Acura Integra I purchased with no engine or transmission what other cars can I take one out of to place in my vehicle? Its an automatic, I am looking to do this with minimal modifications.... Thanks in advance for any and all help!!!!|||Any B series engine (b16a, b18b, b18c1, b18c5 etc) will swap right in there, if your Integra is an RS, LS, or GS it came stock with a B18b1, if it is a GSR it came with a B18c1. Many engines you will find will be JDM, and manual transmission will be much easier to find, you could change it over to manual without too much work but if you want auto then you'll find one. An Accord engine (F series) will require too much work and will not be beneficial compared to a B series unless you got a F20b but it will be expensive and difficult. A civic engine will be underpowered for you vehicle unless it is the B16 form an si or type-r. If you are confined to smog laws then you might want to get the stock engine or at least make sure you don't put in an engine from a year older than the vehicle, same year or newer should be fine. Theres this guy who talks alot saying I cant keep up with his car? He has an acura integra gsr with an intake, exhaust, and some plugs and my eclipse GTS is stock!!!! Can I smoke him? All those parts he has just makes his car loud!! I just got my 2005 acura rsx about a week ago and it has 56,000 miles on it and i like to go fast. It has a little bark under the hood but i want it to blow people away. I want to put a v6 engine into it and put dual exhaust but i dont know how much it would cost. Please help =D thank you|||You won't be able to cram a V6 into an RSX because the engine compartment is too small.|||Expect to spend about $7,500 to do that. My 1993 acura does not start what do u thin the problem?
i have 19993 acura integra and there is no spark on the spark plug and there is no fuel on the injector at all.But it cranks good so what do u think the problem is?|||main relay. had same problem in my 92 car turns over but wont fire. relay causes the fuel pump not to get power|||Turn off your a/c and radio when you're trying to start it. Check your battery's level, make sure it's posts and clamps are clean, make sure cables and wires aren't corroded, and have somebody jump your car. Let it run for a while to charge the battery. My car wouldn't start a while back and I found out that my grounding wire was almost completely corroded.|||Its most likely ur main relay! Its located under ur dash, drivers side its way up behind the fuse box. Its gray with a burgundy circuit board. It says mitsubu on it. You could get them at the junk yard or open yours up and air it out a day or two sometimes it works again.|||my guess would be alternator and fuel pump if no gas. good luck!

Is it possible to swap the Evo MR Brembo calipers onto a 2003 Acura RSX? I am looking at some Evo MR Brembo calipers and I am wondering if they could be put on an RSX somehow. If it is possible, what kind of work/parts would be necessary?|||As is they won't swap 1 for 1. You can mount just about any calipers on any car with: 1)Proper mounting brackets, 2)Proper rotor clearance (if you use the stock rotors), 3)Proper wheel clearance 4)The brake system has enough pressure to operate said calipers (if they're multiple piston calipers).

I also recommend you get a female car salesman - if you call the dealership first they will probably give you a female salesman since you are a woman. Then you ask for that person when you actually go to the dealer. If you just go to the dealer with your husband/dad/brother they will give you a male salesman. From my experience as a female, women salesman don't see it as much of a competition and that's better if you are a femal buyer, IMO.

Should I fix dent in trunk of Acura 2003 CL-S and how much should I expect to pay?
I have a dent in the trunk of my 2003 Acura CL-S from backing into a mailbox. I'll [probably be selling the car in about a year. I got one estimate so far to fix the dent for about $1000. I plan to get a few more estimates. How do I know if my clutch is going out? And If my clutch is going out, what parts do I need to buy to change it? Can I buy a clutch kit? I have a 2003 Acura rsx type non-S.|||hard to shift and slips and you replace all clutch parts and yes you can get it all most any parts store|||Normally before clutches go out, you'll see them start to slip. If you feel that your clutch is starting to slip, it may be time to replace it. You can do it yourself with parts from your local auto parts store, and unless you place to replace the flywheel with a lighter weight version, just have the friction surface refinished, there is no need to replace the flywheel itself.|||Yes you can buy a clutch kit, go ahead and get a flywheel too so you can change it while youve got the trans out. Clutches are a pain to replace unless you have a lift and trans jack.
Is it really necessary to take an Acura to the dealer for an oil change or will a oil changing shop be fine?

Why are my interior a/c and radio control lights inside my Acura TSX not working?
I have a 2004 Acura TSX, almost 70,000 miles. It has been a really good car. But this past weekend the lights inside are not working. Not all the lights, just the ones that light up the radio and a/c controls. My hubby thought it could be a fuse but when he checked he said the fuse was good. Any other thoughts before I drive it 30 miles to the closest dealership?|||wiring harness shorted out...???|||I know there are little bulbs or leds that light up the instrument cluster and other parts in the dash. Those do burn out like any other bulb. You would have to take the panel off to see if your car has those. I know many Hondas do, so I am sure Acura is the same.
When will the next Acura car meet around the Seattle area be?
I'm mainly looking for a car meet consisting of mostly the Acura tl. I know there was one a month and a half ago but I missed it as I was informed too late. And if there's anybody out there with an Acura that would like to meet up around the area and go for a drive and photoshoot just let me know. How often do I change the transmission fluid on my 2001 Acura TL?
Tried to find a maintenance schedule online, guess I could look in my owner's manual, but I'm trying to figure out how often to change the transmission fluid. This car has 115k miles on it and the transmission was replaced at 55k miles. I believe the fluid was last changed at 90k miles, but I'd need to check my service records to be certain.
Also am wondering from you Acura mechanics out there if you recommend changing the trans fluid more often since the transmissions in these cars are garbage. Thanks.|||On those vehicles, every 30K-45K miles.

If ATX fluid is no longer RED and has a burnt smell to it, change it immediately completely with a flush and filter.
Also consider installing auxiliary ATX cooler (radiator) to significantly lower ATX operation temperature and prolong ATX life

I ride in my cousins toyota, and when his car reach 5 rpm, it doesnt make that much change of a sound

I have seen a lot where the people take their car to CARMAX then to the dealer say this is what carmax is giving and then the dealer matches it. You will not get as much as selling it outright but it's easier and you have a tax credit for this when you trade your car in. If your trade in is worth $15000 and the TSX is $27000 then you only pay taxes on $12000 dollars instead of the whole 27. I want to put Xenon headlights on but dont know if any newer Acuras have lights that would fit a 1997 Acura 3.0CL. I do not want to add a conversion kit or anything. I simply want to switch out the Xenon healight bulbs. Would that work?|||Yes. Many people have retrofitted HID parts into non-hid headlights. You will need to get the HID ballasts and HID light bulbs and 99% of the time you will need to modify your current headlamps because it will not just all bolt on. If you're really handy, you can put honda s2k or tsx projectors into your lights like some people do, but that takes money and skill.

I have a 1997 Acura CL and it used to beep when i locked and unlocked it. About a week ago it stopped beeping and I havn't figured out why? So for anywhere from 10 to 12 miles WE ADD per HONDA GUIDELINES to the vehicle during this Pre Delivery inspection, so as long as a dealer has done the right thing, and if NOONE has actually test driven it, it will have between 12 and 14 Miles on it at LEAST before a customers steps foot behind the wheel.

how much money does it take for you to fill up your acura RSX type S. I am in the process of buying a car, but I have to choose between this car or the new for mustang. What kind of MODS can i add to my 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition to add more HP?

Any specific suggestions for particular parts, even than what i generically mentioned would be greatly appreciated. Personally if you have a car loan-pay that off first and then mod away. I own a 06 6MT tsx, bought new 5 years ago. It now has 130,000+problem free miles. Completely stock|||If you already bought this car, you screwed up. If you were looking for something fast you could have had a V8 powered Mustang GT or Camaro SS for close to the same amount of money. Either would have more than double the horsepower and double the acceleration in showroom stock condition than this little wing pinger economy car.
Apparently you are already so dissatisfied with its performance that you risk voiding the factory engine warranty by making modifications. Your second mistake.
Your third mistake is expecting miracles from a cold air intake and a computer program. If you think the factory engineers did such a poor job of designing the factory air intake that there is gobs of horsepower to be had by swapping it with a cold air intake, you got to wonder what other engineering disasters are in this car's design. Ditto for the computer program that operates this vehicle.|||Any modifications could damage the motor and exhaust system and would definitely void the warranty. Honda Performance Division is Honda's in-house racing development center. They are currently working on performance parts for the Honda Civic SI which shares the same engine with the Acura TSX. You should wait to see which HPD parts will be applicable to your TSX. My understanding is that installing these HPD specified parts will not damage your car or void the warranty. In addition, they will be engineered, not by one guy in an aftermarket machine shop, but by a whole team who have the money and technology to do a great job. If it turns out that the HPD parts will only be applicable to the SI you might consider swapping cars.|||Go to http://www.clubrsx.com/browse/clubep3/?f鈥?/a> and read through the forums|||k pro :) then add a supercharger and 3 inch pipe from headers to exhaust :)

What if I used regular unleaded(87) for my Acura TL instead of higher according to manufacturer?
So recently i bought an Acura TL, and i had just found out by reading the manual that it "recommends" using premium gasoline . what would happen if i already filled my tank with regular unleaded gas? will it damage my vehicle?|||No, you will just loose a small amount of HP.|||You can use but make sure u put a bottle of octane booster with it and that u are at least putting a half of tank or higher of gas in it. I have a Acura TL and it runs off premium to but in my opinion just buy the premium gas its alot better and doesnt burn as fast as 87 gas it may be higher but its worth your money|||The difference in gas is the octane level. You can buy just a bottle of octane boost %26amp; put it in your engine if you are truly worried (walmart, $10). As long as the car is idling fine %26amp; accelerating normally your okay.|||it could. My momand i share a mercedes and she had to take it into the shop when we first got it because the idiot before her put in a tank of the crap gas and it was messing up her engine. I'm not sure about acura's, but i would only use the premium.|||Usually the computer will just retard the timing and your car will run a little less responsive. How do I fix the door lock on an Acura Legend?
My friend has a rather old Acura Legend. Recently he unlocks the door with the key (or by the switch or the remote) and it unlocks for a second, then it locks right back. In order to open the door, he needs to time it perfectly... meaning unlock the door and open it really fast before the door locks back. Sometimes the driver side lock doesn't unlock at all! How do you fix this without going to a mechanic?|||If you don't want to take it to a mechanic just pull the fuse out for the power door locks, look in your owners manual to see where it's located.|||I would try changing the fuse that controls the door locks. It may be going bad.

What would be the easiest and cheapest way to increase the performance of a 93 acura integra? Should i just get cold-air intake and an aftermarket exhaust or what?|||Go for the bolt-ons: intake, exhaust, headers. They're not necessarily cheap, but the cheapest. And I think it's better and cleaner than going for turbo/supercharge, it won't wear out your engine and thus hurt your resale value. But if you do want to make a BEAST out of your car... well that is the way to go.|||The cheapest is weight reduction. Remove everything in the car that's not needed for it to run and you'll be shocked at ho much faster it feels and how well it handles.|||really, you should read some articles online how to drive better. I have a friend that is a racing instructor, and he doesn't believe in modifing the engine. He'll modify his chassis.

How do you kill the VSA in a 2004 Acura TSX?
My Acura has this switch in the dash that seems to be working, but the problem is that when the car is stuck in anything, you can't rock it back and forth since the VSA (whatever that is), kicks in and kills the motor to almost nothing. There has to be a way to override this lousy thing. Turning the switch on and off doesn't seem to work. Help!|||when you shut off the VSA-it is OFF- why is your car getting stuck all the time anyway. My friend is selling his 2003 Acura RSX with over 200,000 miles and has a blown engine. He is sellinmg it very cheap and was wondering if it was worth buying and have the engine replaced. Thanks.|||You can generally find a low mileage engine for this car in the $2,000 and under range and add another $1,000-$1,500 for labor at a decent shop, but less if you know someone that can do it. If the car is under $2,000 then do it, or you can get a RSX- type S engine and spend another $1,000-$2,000 and get 50 more hp out of the deal too. Basically you would have a $7,000-$8,000 RSX type-S with low miles.|||Generally, a k20a2 motor (type-s) will run you between 4500-5000, labor won't be too much because it would be a simple job, just dropping in the motor... However, i would suggest getting a k20ar (japan type-r) they're only about 1000 more dollars and you'll get about 25 more HP.

What type of coolant should I use for 1994 Acura Integra?
Hi everyone,
I have a 1994 Acura Integra. Beside the recommended Honda coolant, what other type of market brand coolants can I use?
I look at the coolant reservoir, it looks like a green coolant. And the coolant in the reservoir is way down. DO I need to refill?
Thanks for helping|||The easy thing to do is to go to your local auto part store, auto zone ,checker, advance auto, etc. They will have what you need. Just ask them. You should only add coolant to a cool system when the fluid level is below the marks on the side of the reservoir.|||Prestone sell an already mixed coolant called "50/50" all you do is pour it in and you are good. Fill the reservoir to the fill line and you will be good.|||1 the coolant from factory is pink
2 the coolant from factory is glycol base coolant
3 the coolant from factory is mixed with water 50/50
You may use any glycol base coolant(prefer the pink)
reservoir is way down? all the coolant component system are good You only need to re fill the reservoir
reservoir is empty? something wrong in the system(in that case I need more information about it)|||i use Prestone or Supertech in mine pull out the reservoir and check if its below the min. line.. i jus fill mine up a litle b4 the top|||use the green coolant and mix it 50/50 that is fine.
