Is it possible to put a k23 engine from an acura rdx to a honda crx?

my friend crashed his brand new acura rdx not too long ago and now its total (hes alive by the way with no injuries). but his motor is in brand new conditioned and i was thinking if i should buy his motor and install it in my crx. will it fit?|||Yes, it will fit, but it will also be illegal if you live in California.

EDIT:

The SH-AWD transmission is an automatic and would more than likely not be used in the swap, therefore it WOULD be just as easy as any other K series swap. He would just use a 5 or 6 speed Manual K series transmission|||Not so easy. The K24 doesn't have as much in common with the K23 as many believe. It won't bolt up and is designed to work with the SH-AWD. You will need a lot of time and money (and fabricating experience) to do the task. It is a rare engine (only used on the RDX)and is very costly before the work. I believe that it will fit better than many claim due to the fact that the RDX is basically a rebadged CR-V with different styling. This says a lot since the CR-V is basically a Civic anyway. Still the drivetrain is different between the CR-V and RDX so there will be a lot to this swap, but it can be done. Money can get you anything.|||ok well is going to pretty much be the same as any k swap. just cuz the motor is from a awd car your not using the drivetrain you just will have to either get th 5 or 6 speed tranny from the rsx...this is one of the most expensive swaps though....but its perfectly swappable get k-series motor mounts, axles ect and you good...Good Luck on swap|||yes it is possible.

i have seen a k24 crx before.

google.com

k20 crx or k24 crx.

you can see pics of what yours would look similar too.|||it should be alot like a k24 swap, however few if anyone has done the swap yet, as the k23 isnt a common motor. be sure to grab the ecu|||yeah but dude if your going to buy a motor find a b16 or b18 and boost it. itl be alot faster and less weight.
